Project Overview:
Write a 1-page academic essay on the topic “Crime and Social Inequality: Examining the Relationship.” The essay should follow APA format and critically analyze how social inequalities—such as poverty, class, race, and lack of opportunity—contribute to patterns of criminal behavior and influence how justice is administered.

Specific Requirements:

1. Abstract: Provide an abstract of 150–200 words summarizing the focus, argument, and key findings of the essay.

2. Essay Length: The main essay should be 1 page (excluding title page, abstract, and references).

3. Formatting: APA format (12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins).

4. Citations: Use at least 2–3 credible scholarly sources (criminology, sociology, or social justice studies). Include proper in-text citations and a complete APA reference list.

5. Content Focus:

   • How poverty and economic inequality influence crime rates.

   • The role of race, gender, and class in shaping criminal justice outcomes.
